Okay – enough already!

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

Well, I need to update a previous post as this is not a normal winter after all. As it turns out, the month of December had a record snowfall for the month. This weekend we had two storms go through the area which left a total of another 51cm (20 in) of the white stuff on the ground. This is the worst storm of the season! I’m sure it must be one of the heaviest on record but I haven’t heard that yet. So far this season we have had about 410cm (13 1/2 ft) of snow. The record was set in 1970/71 when we had 444cm (14 1/2 ft) dumped on us. This year is the 2nd heaviest on record and with only 30cm from the record amount we just may make a new record. Oh, by the way, our snowblower broke after just 1 1/2 passes on the driveway. Luckily I was able to fix the snowblower or we would still be out there doing it by hand. Take a look at some of the pictures under “Pages” / “Pictures” on the right hand menu.
